- The Santa Isabel plant uses tailrace water of the Corani plant and diverts water from the Corani river to the Santa Isabel river.
- Its feasibility studies were concluded in 1966 by the J.G. White Engeneering Co. using the loans of the World Bank.
- Corani S.A. was nationalized in 2010. The company was controlled by the French group GDF Suez through its subsidiary Inversiones Ecoenergy Bolivia.
- The state-owned Empresa Nacional de Eletrecidad (Ende) took control of the company.
